This article of agreement entered into this 1st day of January 1867 between L.T.D. Falkner and Caster Patrick of the County of Va
Witnesseth
That – the said Falkner agrees to and does hereby rent to said Patrick a house and garden attached with firewood in the woods on sail Falkner’s farm for the term of one year from the date of this contract for the sum of (36.00) thirty-six dollars which the said Patrick agrees and binds himself to pay at the end of the year to the said Falkner.
As witness our hands and seals on the date above at Gordonsville, Va
