Scale of Mines

"Here are the richest deposits of sulphur ore in the United States, and the capacity is one hundred thousand tons per annum of sulphur pyrite. The mine produces mostly "fines" which run uniformly when sold by the company at forty one to forty two per cent of sulphur. The production of fines is practically unlimited... For several years past the Arminius Chemical Company have supplied many of the largest manufactureers to the exclusion of all other ore, a monopoly existing by virtue of excellence of the product rather than by any express agreement. Wherever introduced the results have been without exception excellent."
